Emma Watson Is Set To Play An Actual Disney Princess

Just when you think Emma Watson couldn't be winning at life any more, she is given a tiara by Disney. Yup, Ems is now a princess IRL.

She went to Hogwarts, works with the UN and is trying to make blokes everywhere meminists. And today she has confirmed that she will be playing Belle in the remake of *Beauty and The Beast, *directed by Bill Condon with a script written by Stephen Chbosky. This is the latest Disney classic to be given the live-action Maleficent treatment.

Emma wrote on her Facebook page about the news: “I’m finally able to tell you … that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast’! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There’. My six-year-old self is on the ceiling — heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma xx.”

Emma had a go at singing on screen last year in* Noah*, when she sang alongside Russell Crowe. She said to MTV News that it was: “Surreal! I’ve never really thought to sing in a movie before, except that I’m crying so much that you don’t really get to hear much of the song.”

Now we know she'll look fabulous in a yellow gown and with ribbons in her hair. But here's what we don't know - who will be her Beast?
