The time has come: this year's nominations for the Oscarsare in. During an announcement from Los Angeles, it was revealed Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel have got nine nods each and the actors who've been shortlisted to bag one of those coveted gold men were finally revealed. Julianne Moore and Reese Witherspoon are in the running and there was a surprise nomination for Marion Cotillard. Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston was snubbed despite a stellar performance in *Cake. *Boo!

You can see the list below, but what's got us really excited is the British invasion. Our homegrown talent is set to STORM the ceremony, which takes place in Hollywood later this month. Shall we rename it the BRoscars? Yes, let's!

Here are the Brits we'll be championing...

**1. Eddie Redmayne **

Eddie has been hotly-tipped for his role in Theory of Everything and as predicted, it's nabbed him a Best Actor nom. He recently won a Golden Globe for his performance as physicist Stephen Hawking so it's looking mighty promising.**

2. Felicity Jones

Eddie's co-star in* Theory of Everything* is in the running for Best Actress, marking her first ever Oscar nomination. Felicity is up against Marion Cotillard for Two Days, One Night, Reese Witherspoon for Wild and Julianne Moore for Still Alice, as well as fellow Brit Rosamund Pike for* Gone Girl.*

3. Rosamund Pike

Yep, Felicity will go up against **Rosamund who's also been shortlisted for the Best Actress gong after her genius turn in the film adaption of Gillian Flynn's novel. She might've missed out on the Golden Globe prize to Julianne, who is a strong contender come Oscars night, but we're keeping all fingers crossed for her.

4. Keira Knightley

The Imitation Game got a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category thanks to Keira's excellent performance. She's up against Patricia Arquette, Emma Stone, Laura Dern and Meryl Streep, aka: the most-nominated actress EVER.

5. Benedict Cumberbatch

Finally, we have Mr Cumberbatch who recently revealed he's getting married AND having a baby. Could it be more good news come Oscar night when the star goes head to head with Eddie for the Best Actor award?
