We've got another exclusive for you! The third trailer in the campaign shows us This Girl Can ambassador Grace overcoming her worries about exercising too slowly.

The second teaser from Sport England’s This Girl Can campaign has landed and we’ve got the exclusive. This time round the video stars Victoria, 29, whose story highlights many women’s concerns around their appearance and sport. She claims that it’s totally ok for men to give it their all in sport, look rubbish and sweat. So why can’t women?

Time and time again we hear that, statistically, women are more conservative when judging their own abilities in the workplace. Now it’s been revealed that this attitude also extends to sport and exercise.

In a recent study, Sport England investigated why women are holding back from participating in sport and discovered that although 75% of the women asked would like to participate they were put off by the fear of judgement.

This fear encapsulated their negative views on their own ability, appearance and concerns of being judged for putting themselves first if they had children.

But it’s not just the lack of confidence. Everyday sexism from societal phrases such as ‘throw like a girl’ and the critique of those women who do excel in sport as ‘masculine’ and ‘aggressive’ all have an effect on participation. The study also highlighted this issue revealing that 1 in 5 men think that women being sporty is simply “not feminine”.

Well, Sport England aren’t having any of it and are set to launch a campaign to tackle the issue featuring ‘real’ women with the hope of eradicating inhibitions and inspiring women to participate.

One such woman is Julie who will feature in the national campaign. See a snippet of her story in the teaser trailer above and let us know your thoughts on women and sport @Grazia_Live.
