Last night London was invaded by a flock of angels, as the Victoria's Secret show was staged in London for the very first time at Earl's Court. Plus we went behind the pink curtain before the show to catch up with the angels before they put on their wings. We chatted to Karlie Kloss about what it's like to be an angel and be BFFs with Taylor Swift...

Backstage at a Victoria's Secret show, or as they call it 'behind the Pink Curtain', is unlike any other catwalk event. From the tousled beauties to the mountains of shimmerdust, there's everything needed to transform the most beautiful women in the world into Angels. We caught up with uber model Karlie Kloss to quiz her about her friends Taylor Swift and Cara Delevingne and the first ever London VS show.
GraziaDaily: How do you feel about the VS show relocating to the British capital?
Karlie Kloss: I am so happy that the show is here in London. I can't imagine a better place for it to be. The last three years I've done the show it was in New York, so to travel all together somewhere, it was the best possible place it could have been. Firstly becasue everybody speaks English! Truly thought, it's really fun to travel together. We all came over on the VS plane on Sunday and it was like a sorority outing. It was everything you would expect and more. There were pink pillows and blankets, pink everything.

GraziaDaily: Are you Angel-ready all year round?
Karlie Kloss: I don’t think anyone is always Angel ready – although I take that back because maybe the other Angels all are and they just haven’t told me the secret! I’m definitely always very active and healthy all year around. So when it comes to the show, it's an extra opportunity to push yourself a little more and train a little harder. I feel I’ve been travelling the world and back for years – I’m lucky if I get enough sleep most days. So I’ve been doing whatever I can – I think that’s how you feel best when you’re out there and you hit that runway. You just want to feel good in your skin and feel confident.

GraziaDaily: Taylor Swift is performing for the second consecutive year - what's it like being friends with her?
Karlie Kloss: Taylor is an amazing friend. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime to walk on that stage so to be able to do it with your best friend is pretty spectacular. I'm very lucky. She should be an Angel herself. I mean she practically is. She looks pretty heavenly out there. I'd sat she’s an honorary Angel.

GraziaDaily: You were at the British Fashion Awards last night - how was your evening?
It was really fun, I've never been to the BFAs before. I'd heard about them, read about them and seen photos over the years and I remember my good friend Jourdan Dunn won an award one year. So I've always known it was a really fun night – I've just never experienced it before. It was great to present Cara with her award – she is definitely so deserving, she is incredible. I loved it when Poppy was up on stage and she said 'Cara, you have more Twitter followers than the Queen.' And I was like wow, holy cow, that’s probably right! Its amazing, Im really proud of her.
