As if Solange hadn’t spoiled us enough with her out-of-this-world wedding album, she has now kindly provided, via instagram, the inside scoop on her South American honeymoon with her husband, Alan Ferguson. Step back a fortnight and the all-white (well, there was a dash of cream, too) dress code for her nuptials in New Orleans was a striking and surprising move from our Perennial Queen Of Super-Bright Colour Pops.

Her radical couture jumpsuit from Stephane Roland, a swift change into a cape-backed custom-made Kenzo, even the newlyweds’ wedding bicycles bringing them to the ceremony were white and strewn with matching flowers… all was pale and interesting and completely pure. But of course, for a honeymoon in Bahia, Brazil we’d expect nothing less than a hotbed of sizzling hues for this stylish pair. Solange and Alan have, hallelujah, lived up to expectations.

Set against lush green vegetation, beach huts painted in primary shades, the bluest sea and rustic-minimal décor, Solange’s honeymooner ensembles and perfectly composed insta-snaps have been nothing short of a professional photo-shoot. From her orange slip dress blowing in the wind to artfully placed palm fronds against a pink wall and her louche feather-printed maxi shirt-dress and sunhat combination, these make for the chicest selection of holiday pictures we’ve seen this year.

Despite the colour and vivacity of Solange’s Brazilian wardrobe, there’s nothing more effortful or tricksy to her Trancoso closet than a slubby white t-shirt tucked into high-waisted bikini bottoms, a canvas tote and nana-ish sandals. Simple colour-block separates form the basis of her looks and without a smattering of silly beach bling, complicated onesies or holiday clichés in this girl’s repertoire, we’re as impressed (and mildly jealous) as we’ve ever been.
