We’re about to embark upon the season of revolution and resolution and of course the commitments at the forefront if our minds are naturally fashion-related. Full of good intentions, we’ve been listing all the ways that we can reinvent our dressing routines and styling mind-sets - and also our spending. We’re going to be price-tag savvy and every single shoe to grace the threshold of our homes will be a winner. At least for January, anyway… Here are the steps our fashion team will be taking to cleanse their closets for 2015...

1. Senior Fashion News & Features Editor, Katherine Ormerod:

I'm going to stop buying high heels. Firstly I have lots in all colours. Secondly my back aches. The 1-2'' inch block heel will still be part of the shoe diet, but anything higher can swing it.

Katherine will not be buying ANY heels in 2015 - so she says

2. Fashion Editor, Hannah Almassi:

I’ve actually already started my new fashion resolution – early bird catches the worm, right? So no more printed, jazzy, tricksy, bold, bright things that DON’T GO WITH ANYTHING. My wardrobe is a completely schizophrenic tardis and it needs taming. How wonderful it would be to scoop up three items in a mad dash each morning only to find that they create the most harmonious outfit. The time-poor fashion-obsessed person's dream.

Hannah's walk-in is OOOOZING with print and a riot of colour

3. Fashion Assistant, Josh Newis-Smith:

I am not going to buy any more bomber jackets. I have at least 15, some emblazoned with sport logos, some plain and even one with fringing. I litch have enough varsity jackets to kit out the entire New York Nicks team. Boys if you are reading this… pay me a visit!

Joshington Post does not need any more bombers in his life

4. Fashion Intern, Fenella Webb:

This year my new year resolution will be not to opt for comfy jeans so often and get my pins out more!

Look what happens when Fenella gets those pins out - Kanye drops to the floor. We think she should rock them every day.

5. Shopping Editor, Lily Russo:

I’m going to try and wear less pink but need to clear everything black out of my wardrobe too. Next year I’m only going to spend £100+ on a suede coat and I’m on the search for the perfect printed flared trousers. I’m going to organise my wardrobe according to colour too - it makes looking for things SO much easier.

Lily likes pink... can you tell?
