Men's Fashion Week isn't just about the boys... the most stylish women at the shows brought mannish touches to their wardrobes with the deftest of hands. An oversized straw-boater teamed with slouchy wrap dress looked chic whilst a baseball tee added a new-found twist to a printed midi skirt. Mannish touches are perfect for making a boyish homage at men's fashion week from Panamas to neckties and sportswear, these fashionistas combine masculinity with femininity with aplomb! We hit the streets of Milan and Paris for tips on how-to...

We also headed to Sonar, Barcelona to see how the chic do festival wear... aside from TWO, yes count 'em, TWO super-luxe Celine bags, the festi-goer's beloved Eastpak bum bag was in sight - in neon no less: we approve. Should you be disatisfied with the selection you brought in your wheelie case (let's face it - no backpacks here!) the Bershka tent on site was there to lend a helping hand, selling denim cut-offs that could be customised on the scene (we loved Lucia's with printed silk detail). Whilst Celine was in sight, trainers were a fail-safe too - proving that mixing sportswear with high-fashion is *the *way to do casual chic.

In Ibiza meanwhile, there's plenty we can learn from analysing these summer-savvy dressers' looks: a spaghetti-strapped day dress works a treat (espcially with a postcard print for extra seasonal sass); a denim jacket helps toughen it up a little too. A simple white tee is a suitcase saviour and will work with all the shorts, skirts and dresses you can pack (even a mint green vinyl skirt as demonstrated here), so take note! Tailored shorts meanwhile, will help you stay smart whilst traversing sunny cities and you walk them straight out to dinner with a pair of knee-high gladiator sandals.

Repeat after us: kimonos, kimonos, kimonos. These are the key to dressing for the beach and beyond this season. We've seen fringed, floaty and beautifully embellished versions everywhere from Glasto to Sonar and beyond. Wear one over a bikini when returning from a day on the sand or over denim shorts and white tee to add a dash of far-flung destination dressing to the most boyish of city looks.
