Yesterday we had not one, but two K Middy outfits to add to our Kate files. After wearing a nautical Jaeger dress in the morning on a visit to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich regarding the America's cup, she changed into an old favourite for a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

She spent the afternoon at the Palace in her cream lace Alexander McQueen sleeved dress, with a new matching bespoke hat by Jane Taylor made especially for the occassion. It was an extra special garden party as it was also the Duke of Edinburgh's 93rd birthday.

The Duchess last wore this stunning blush-coloured shift dress covered in lace with full-length sleeves and ladylike knee-length hemline to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee service at St Paul's Cathedral. She's changing things up a little bit, removing the satin waist belt which she wore back in 2012. Back then she also wore it with another oyster Jane Taylor hat, which had a net detail falling over her face.

When Kate met the Olympic gold medal winning sailor Sir Ben Ainslie who's aiming to launch Britain’s bid for glory in the America’s Cup in the morning, she went for literal dressing (again). She matched the young sailors in a white crepe frock with black trim detail. On the accessories front, Kate's topped off her ladylike look with the same Alexander McQueen blue suede shoes we saw on the recent Royal Tour and a matching clutch bag. We're also loving that Asprey Woodland Pendant.

Alexander McQueen is fast becoming Kate's go-to for fancy occassions, as Sarah Burton dresses the Duchess for her most photographed appearances (cough, including a certain wedding). As experts in Kate's wardrobe, we have of course put together a guide to all of her most magical McQueen moments, from her wedding gown to the cream frock she wore to George's christening.
