Cara Delevingne Turns 23 Today [Rex]

Cara Delevingne has come a long way since her debut modelling gig, aged 10. After rising up the ranks from an ASOS regular to the catwalks' most coveted and breaking Hollywood, she's come a long way, and become a style icon in the process. Let's recap Cara's rise and rise, plus scroll down to see her greatest fashion hits to date...

Before Cara was a model

Sister of 'It' girl and Chanel ambassador Poppy Delevingne, Goddaughter of Joan Collins, family friends of the Jaggers and with a name like that, it was inevitable Cara was going to hit the big time. She made her debut modelling gig, aged 10 alongside her mum in Italian Vogue.

Cara's modelling career

She began her modelling career at ASOS but when Burberry cast Cara Delevingne in their Spring Summer 2011 campaign, shot by none other than Mario Testino, she was catapulted into the epicenter of the fashion industry.

In September 2012, she stole practically every catwalk show during fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. One month later, she was signed up as the quirky face of DSquared and took part in the legendary Victoria’s Secret show. At the tender age of 20, the blonde beauty was also bagging magazine covers from posing with a spider over her eye for i-D to cosying up in one of her beloved onsies for Style.com. She starred in the buff alongside Kate Moss in Burberry's MyBurberry fragrance campaign and again for Mango - this time in clothes! Oh, and did we mention she won the gong for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2012?

But it’s her off-duty style that has Grazia HQ enthralled. Cara has a knack for throwing on a pair of jeans, a comedy T-shirt and tomboyish beanie hat, paired with a goofy face, and still look utterly stylish. Her outfits have got her noticed just as much off the catwalk as on it, as has her refreshingly quirky attitude. Just take a look at her Instagram feed to see the many hilarious faces of Miss D.

Cara's growing tattoo collection

She's also channeled her personality with an extensive array of tattooos - from the words 'Made In England' on her foot to a lion on her finger.

Cara's crew

Her sense of fun has gained Cara a hoard of celebrity pals, including the hottest stars in the music world from Rihanna and Rita Ora to Azealia Banks, and she's attracted the attention of everyone from Harry Styles to current love interest St Vincent. She's also appeared in Taylor Swift's Bad Blood video, cementing her status as a member of one of Hollywood's highest profile cliques.

Cara's acting career

The former catwalker has also cracked Hollywood after a cameo alongside Keira Knightley in the film remake of Anna Karenina. 'I'd love to be in a movie with Meryl Streep or Martin Scorsese,' she exclusively told Grazia Daily at the British Fashion Awards 2012. 'There are so many different things I want to do, maybe like a possessed child or an evil something.' And it didn't take long for her to make serious headway with acting, in 2015 she landed a lead role in Paper Towns, an adaptation of the John Green novel.

Something tells us nothing's going to stand in this girl's way.
